Job Description


This position will lead the World Food Programme Support Office Finance Hub (WFP SO Hub). This position will manage the WFP SO Hub operations which serves all SOs participating in WFP projects. This position is expected to work with various departments and offices in Disaster Management, Global Finance, and field offices implementing WFP projects.

The individual will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the team, ensuring excellent and efficient delivery of services.

This position will also be responsible for preparing high-level, complex financial reports, analysis, templates, tools, and other projects necessary to deliver the expected services to the Partnership, Support Offices, and other stakeholders.


Supervise the WFP SO Hub Team:

  • Play a role in hand-offs of tasks to the staff.
  • Ensure the completeness, timeliness, and quality of services.
  • Coordinate and ensure proper onboarding of new staff.
  • Coordinate and ensure the learning and development of staff.
  • Train staff on technical skills and identify resources they need to get the work done.
  • Oversee the administrative and local requirements of staff reporting to this position, and report issues or concerns to the Manager- SO Business Support and Analysis.
  • Coordinate and communicate regularly with the manager for performance management and staff management.
  • Work with the manager for staff management and overall oversight.
  • Identify inefficiencies in the current processes and recommend operational efficiencies; Review and coordinate efforts, processes, and skillsets of the staff and identify areas where efficiencies can be achieved.
  • Recommend and implement processes, projects, or outputs that will maximize productivity and efficiencies.
  • Engage with different stakeholders to devise, create or formulate new standard and value-adding services.
  • Test out recommendations from the customers and other stakeholders.
  • Develop, design, and prepare high-level and complex reports and analyses as required to keep track of the processes and deliver the desired output and efficiencies of the team.
  • Manage, improve or enhance the Power BI Monitoring Tool.
  • Handle escalations from the team.
  • Drive conversations, collaborate, and communicate with SOs, CA, DMT, Field Offices, and other stakeholders to improve the process or increase the efficiencies.
  • Continuously improve, develop or provide intelligent advice and recommendations in the development of reporting and analytical tools, templates, systems, and processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and productivity of reporting and analysis (e.g. automation).
  • Clearly and adequately present to stakeholders. Participate and contribute in discussions, conferences, or working groups as needed.
  • Assist the GFS Manager and the rest of the leadership team in various assignments, tasks, and projects that support GFS.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities and projects as assigned, including team, leadership, and planning functions.
  • Lead, attend and participate in meetings, team events, conferences that may be assigned.
  • Attend and participate in chapel services, daily and group devotions.
  • Promote World Vision’s values through example and hold self and others accountable for the same across the team.
  • Perform all other duties that may be assigned.


  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in international development, non-profit or multinational organizations. Audit and project management experience is an advantage.
  • Has experience in leading a team or projects.
  • Has experience in working with people from different levels and functions in the organization
  • Has substantial and successful experience working in a multi-cultural, geographically dispersed work environment and is able to work with several functional managers or stakeholders demonstrated ability to think independently and critically, self-learn and self-manage.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed and complex analysis.
  • Has the confidence and competence to identify problems and recommend solutions and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a strong team and processes.
  • Extensive experience in preparing and analyzing accounting and financial reports for internal and external clients
  • Bachelor or University degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Highly skilled in MS Office Suite especially MS Excel
  • Proficient in Power BI, Sharepoint, and other finance systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
