Background of this search: The Information technology department (ITE) is looking for an experienced professional to work on the Testing Framework project team. You will work in the maintenance and improve the Test Automation Frameworks and all connected solutions to align to the Bank’s CI/CD pipeline. You will also be developing automated testing scripts for the Bank’s major business applications.

The team’s mission: The ITE department is responsible for formulating the Bank’s IT Strategy, its implementation, and providing related tools, solutions, and services.  It is also the focal point for all IT services (infrastructure and applications), architecture, policies, and security for the IDB.

What you’ll do: You will report to the IT Governance Team Leader in the Information Technology Policy & Planning Division. Following are the most important activities you will be doing as part of the Testing Framework project.

• You will be responsible for developing automated testing scripts using the Commercial off-the-shelf Worksoft Certify test automation framework for the different business processes in scope for the SAP application (ECC, SRM, Portal).
• You will be responsible for developing automated testing scripts using an existing .Net automated testing framework for the main operational application of the Bank (in-house ASP.NET MVC web application) for the different business processes it supports.
• You will be responsible to develop user interface test scripts for the different application interfaces prioritized for test Automation utilizing a custom Selenium test automation framework.
• Participate in the execution of the existing test automation Regression Suites for several applications to test their functionality ad-hoc, periodic and during the CI/CD pipeline runs.
• You will be responsible to manage defects remediation and maintain the metrics.
• You will be responsible to ensure the operational integrity of the Test Automation infrastructure and updates are implemented.
• You will be responsible for coordinating the definition of standards, nomenclatures, naming conventions, and procedures for the corporate testing solution Worksoft Certify as well as the custom Selenium IDB framework and Interface as a Service.
• You will collaborate in the administration of Worksoft Certify.
• Collaborate and participate in conjunction with the IT Governance Team in the definition of software testing methodology, process, artifacts, and required documentation for all the Banks portfolio of business applications.

What you’ll need:

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Information Technology. Certifications in software testing and quality assurance are a plus.

Experience: At least a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Software Tester.

Languages: Fluency in English is a must and knowledge of another official Bank language (Spanish, Portuguese, and/or French) is desired.
