Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE:

As a Power Platform Developer, you will be responsible for developing applications using Microsoft Power Platform components, such as Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents, among others. These solutions allow you to address optimization scenarios within the organization.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

The Information Technology Assistant shall be accountable for the following key areas in Abuja, Kogi, and Kaduna field offices of the Save the Children International program in Nigeria:

App Development

  • Developing Apps using Power Platform
  • Supporting the development team
  • Applying Power Apps including an in-depth understanding of customization, configuration, integration, and extensibility, as well as boundaries and constraints
  • Assisting in collecting and identifying functional requirements
  • Raising the causes of bugs or potential issues of the product are skills that we hope you have and we will also help you develop
  • Being adept at leveraging new approaches to solutions for system design and functionality
  • Addressing and remediating security vulnerability findings in PowerApps
  • Work directly with clients to support various projects and solutions.
  • Responsible for developing PowerApps model and canvas driven apps
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to understand client pain points and troubleshoot as challenges arise.
  • Installation and configuration of data gateways.
  • Development of Azure logic apps and functions and Power BI development.
  • Provide architecture, configuration, administration, and functional support to expand capabilities in Microsoft 365.
  • Design end-to-end solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify areas and processes where Microsoft 365, Office 365, and SharePoint can be better leveraged and facilitate process improvement.

Incident Management

  • Providing the first level IT helpdesk support in assigned field offices
  • Communicating any service disruptions to users, opportunities, and other relevant policies
  • Carry out any other tasks required by the line manager

Security and Backup

  • Keep the network and all computer systems safe, secure, and virus-free.
  • Report any alleged or suspected misuse of IT systems/equipment, lapses of security, and major violations of organizational standards to the in-country IT representative.
  • Ensure proper backup of all staff information, files, and folders.

Essential

  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organizational skills, including the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously; have strong interpersonal and networking skills, and the ability to work with a diverse range of people.
  • Level of Education – Degree in IT and related IT certifications.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skill Level – Excellent
  • Language Requirements – English – Excellent,
  • Level of IT Expertise Required – Excellent

Prior Experience Expectations

  • Desired Number of Years Prior Experience in a Similar Role – 2
  • Experience in Server and Active Directory Management and Power platform development
  • Experience in a relatively insecure field-based environment
  • 1+ years of experience with Office 365 development utilizing PowerApps, Flow, and Power BI, Teams, and SharePoint Online
