The Opportunity

The Deputy Manager-M&E will be responsible for maintaining the project database, analyzing and preparing reports within stipulated timeline with the overall guidance of Deputy Director-M&E. S/He will maintain regular coordination with thematic teams, M&E managers of the region, and districts to ensure planned deliverables. S/he will play a vital role in MIS implementation, performance tracking, and capacity building. Designing several assessment tools, implementing them, and ensuring the quality of MIS data will be her/his important area of responsibility. S/he will maintain and update project performance data in USAID’s DIS and training data in Trainer routinely.

Qualifications and experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in maternal, newborn, and child health is required.
  • Proven experiences in working in partnership with MOH&FW, USAID and NGOs would be added value.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in statistical analysis, database management, data presentation, and report writing. Advance level expertise in MS Excel is mandatory.
  • Ability to deal with maternal and newborn health HMIS of DGFP and DGHS.
  • Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of database concepts
  • A clear understanding of data for program management decision-making.
  • Extensive experience in computer operation particularly, in MS Office, SPSS / STATA.
  • Master’s Degree, preferably in Information Management/Statistics/Urban and Rural Planning/Public Health/Social Science or relevant discipline.
