The Opportunity

The Deputy Manager – District Implementation will be responsible for providing day-to-day guidance and operational support to the Public Health Epidemiologists of the assigned District/Camps and implementing partner. Jointly with Public Health Epidemiologist based in District will be accountable for the timely and quality implementation of the planned activities in the selected District; prioritization of public health issues planning and implementation of public health programs; public health communications activities in camps and host communities documentation and sharing of lessons learned and best practices at District level. S/he will assist in capacity building and use of ThinkMD tools and pulse oximeter in MOHFW and private health facilities. The incumbent will establish and maintain a healthy working relationship with District/Sub-district level MOHFW Authorities and other key stakeholders in the assigned District as well as prepare and submit activity reports as necessary.

Qualifications and experience

  • At least 5 years experience and a good understanding of community-based/public health programming
  • Candidates from the Bandarban area will get a preference
  • Good understanding of public health programming
  • Excellent skills in program planning, coordinating, representing, and partnership management.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bangla both in oral and written
  • Ability to write a good quality report
  • Ability and willingness to travel widely in program areas
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office package and Internet using
  • Master’s Degree, preferably in Social Science or relevant field.
