Job Description:

IDB Invest is looking for a Data Privacy Consultant with 4+ years of experience in data governance and privacy for financial institutions, preferably with experience in implementations of data privacy solutions and/or data governance frameworks.  This specialist will represent the information technology team through the implementation of a data privacy policy dealing with senior stakeholders of the organization.

What you’ll do:
  • Data Privacy Consultant Coordinate and helps structure the data privacy strategic roadmaps that are being developed by the teams.
  • Document business requirements that will be used to write up rules and support documents.
  • Work closely with program and business stakeholders to support the development of documentation and materials to ensure compliance with data privacy laws (i.e LGPD, GDPR, Californian Privacy act and etc) and policies.
  • Monitor the organization’s adherence to data privacy standards rules and regulations.
  • Leverage problem-solving and influencing skills to ensure the successful delivery of project plans.
  • Identify, communicate, mitigate, and manage overall project risks; provide weekly updates to senior management.

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Law, Computer Science, Business, Legal, Education, Engineering, Management, Information Technology, Technical, Graduate.

  • 2+ years of experience with the implementation and support of data privacy and data governance programs in financial institutions
  • Excellent written skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislations (i.e LGPD, GDPR, Californian Privacy act and etc), regulatory requirements, guidelines, and industry developments relating to data protection, privacy, security, and data governance.
  • Working knowledge of data subject privacy rights, PII data handling, data protection, and cookie laws, data transmission and encryption requirements, data access controls, data retention and destruction, vendor assessment questionnaires, data privacy impact assessments
  • Data privacy licenses or certifications such as CIPP, IAPP, CIPM, CIPT, IGP, ARMA, ISEB, US, EU, and HIPAA will be considered a plus.

You are proficient in written and verbal communication in English and in a second official language of the IDB Group (Spanish, Portuguese or French).

Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
